Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate to manage Perishable Departments including produce, meat, dairy, and bakery, ensuring inventory accuracy and appealing merchandise presentation. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, and plan-o-grams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with perishable stock levels and inventory management.
• Ensure a safe working environment and protect company assets.
• Train associates in freshness, pricing and proper food handling.
• Maintain cash accountability and adhere to cash control procedures.
