Job summary

Stop & Shop in Fairfield, CT is seeking a highly motivated Perishable Manager to oversee Meat, Seafood, Deli, Florist, Produce and Bake Shop operations. You will lead department teams, drive sales and ensure safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience in retail grocery, a Bachelor’s degree preferred, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail grocery.
• Strong leadership and management skills to inspire teams to achieve goals.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for customers and colleagues.
• Knowledge of Produce, Meat, Seafood, Deli, Floral and Bakeshop operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Meat, Seafood, Deli, Florist, Produce and Bake Shop.
• Ensure departments meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in all departments.
• Train and evaluate perishable department team members.
• Manage labor relations and resolve employee issues effectively.
• Monitor inventory levels and control labor costs.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service and service standards.
