Job summary

Food Lion in Havelock, NC is seeking a Perishable Department Manager to support store operations, hire and develop staff, and ensure fast, friendly customer service. You will help meet budgeted goals and maintain department standards.

You will lead scheduling, safety, and training, use tools like ACIS and reporting to optimize performance, and promote a positive shopping experience for our customers. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to coach others while upholding Food Lion

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Good understanding of store operations preferred.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements.
• Accreditation as Food Safety Manager or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture reflecting Food Lion's Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain a positive customer service environment and a strong shopping experience.
