Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Department Manager to support store operations, lead department associates, and drive customer-focused service. You will oversee scheduling, training, performance reviews and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include managing the Perishable Department, coaching staff, controlling expenses, and using company tools to optimize inventory and financial results.

Competenze

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and be able to lead and direct others.
• Must be accredited or able to achieve accreditation as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" within 90 days of employment.

Mansioni

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management, training and formal appraisals.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and motivate the store to reflect guiding principles, core values, vision and strategy.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness and provide fast, easy, friendly customer service.
