Job summary

Responsibilities include coordinating stock, applying plan-o-gram guidance, and maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation rules to protect customers and assets.

Qualifications

• Able to perform basic math including percentages and discounts.
• Experience handling cash, deposits, and theft prevention.
• Proficient with cash register functions and POS systems.
• Knowledge of safety policies and food handling regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read plan-o-grams and implement merchandising guidance.
• Willingness to obtain required local/state food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage perishable departments (Produce, Meat, Dairy, Frozen, Bakery) and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Oversee stock levels, ordering guides, and markdowns to minimize waste.
• Train staff on presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Ensure safe food handling, sanitation, and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain scheduling coverage and assist with store staffing decisions.
• Record inventory levels and contribute to performance assessments.
