Qualifications

• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.
• Experience leading a perishable department is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Perishable Departments including produce, meat, dairy, and bakery to ensure freshness and compliance.
• Assist Store Manager with inventory control, pricing, and merchandise presentation.
• Train and supervise associates in perishable handling, safety, and customer service.
• Maintain stock levels using perishable planning tools and perform routine markdowns.
• Ensure sanitation standards and safe handling practices across the department.
