Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in perishable departments including produce, dairy, meat, and bakery to ensure freshness and quality.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels based on store volume and use visual, pricing, and ordering tools.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Train assigned associates in proper stocking, presentation, and rotation of perishable products.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards are followed by staff using the Cleaning Schedule.
• Assist with other operational areas as directed by the Store Manager.
