Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (percentages, sums, etc.).
• Ability to operate cash registers and generate reports.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Ability to follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications in food handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with cash accountability and security practices.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using planograms and order guides.
• Train associates in proper perishable presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Ensure safety compliance and sanitation in the Perishable departments.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns; analyze causes and take corrective action.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs promptly.
