Job summary

Dollar General in Willard, OH is seeking a Perishable Department Supervisor to support the Store Manager in managing produce, meats, dairy, bakery and related perishables. You will ensure fresh stock, proper rotation, pricing standards and friendly service.

This role focuses on inventory integrity, safety compliance and training of associates, with cash handling duties and daily customer interactions to meet store goals.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety rules, diagrams and operating instructions.
• Perform basic math, track cash and reports.
• Learn cash register functions and sales reports.
• Review store performance and identify trends.
• Ensure cash handling and security procedures are followed.
• Understand inventory and merchandising practices.
• Possess strong organization and verbal/written communication.
• Willing to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in managing perishables, inventory and display.
• Ensure stock levels, freshness, pricing and compliance with rules.
• Train associates in presentation, freshness and safety standards.
• Record inventory levels and manage markdowns as needed.
• Maintain customer service and respond to needs promptly.
• Adhere to sanitation standards and schedule Cleaning.
• Support other operational areas as directed by Store Manager.
