You will assist the Store Manager with inventory control, safety compliance, cash accountability and staff training in food handling, plan-o-grams and merchandising standards to support store profitability and a safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Basic math and percent calculations for pricing and inventory.
• Capable of operating cash register and generating reports.
• Analyze sales trends and identify opportunities for shrink and errors.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control.
• Familiarity with plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.
• Willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsabilités

• Oversee perishable departments: produce, meats, dairy, bakery and frozen items.
• Assist Store Manager with inventory management and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain stock levels using perishable planning tools and guides.
• Train associates on freshness, presentation and safety practices.
• Record perishable markdowns and investigate causes of variances.
• Ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Enforce sanitation standards and safety policies across perishables.
