Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Lead for the Perishable Departments in Kentucky. You will assist the Store Manager with inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and customer service while maintaining safety and asset protection standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with perishable inventory management and merchandising.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels using store tools and guidelines.
• Train associates in proper perishable presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure customer needs and requests are addressed efficiently and courteously.
