Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager–Perishable in Charlotte, NC to lead the Perishable Departments, including produce, meat, dairy, and bakery. You will assist with inventory management, merchandising presentation, and customer service, while ensuring safety and asset protection in accordance with company procedures.

You will help train associates, maintain stock levels, and uphold plan-o-gram standards. Strong focus on accuracy, teamwork, and daily customer satisfaction is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules, and procedures.
• Mathematical calculations including percentages and cash handling knowledge.
• Experience with cash registers and generating reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining perishable stock levels using store tools.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards across perishable departments.
• Train associates on presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns, analyze causes and take corrective action.
• Maintain customer relations and address requests efficiently and promptly.
• Follow policies and procedures outlined in SOPs and employee handbook.
