Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as additions, subtractions, multiplications, divisions, and percentages.
• Ability to learn and perform cash register functions to generate reports.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management in retail perishable departments.
• Ability to follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in managing perishable departments including inventory management and customer service.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels and use provided ordering guides and reports.
• Train associates in proper presentation, freshness, and pricing standards for perishable areas.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns, and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and safety policies in the perishables area.
• Provide courteous customer service and respond to customers’ needs efficiently.
