Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with inventory management, cash accountability, and security practices.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using tools such as Current Ads / Planners and order guides.
• Train associates in proper presentation, freshness, pricing, and safe handling of perishable products.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns, analyze causes and take corrective action.
