UnityPoint Health is seeking a Surgical Care Technician to support a fast-paced operating room team. You will prepare operating rooms, assist with equipment and supplies, transport and position patients, and help maintain sterile conditions and infection control throughout the perioperative process.

The role emphasizes timely workflow, collaboration with the surgical team, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a seamless perioperative experience for patients and care teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year hospital or surgical unit experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare operating rooms, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Transport and position patients and assist the surgical team.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and sterile processing.
• Ensure timely patient flow and efficient room turnover.
• Follow PPE, isolation and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff.
