Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Surgical Technologist (PRN) to assist in operating rooms under surgeon and RN supervision. The role covers instrument setup, patient preparation, and instrument passing, with emphasis on sterile technique and patient safety.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited surgical tech background, CPR certification, and 0–2 years of clinical experience. Duties include preparing equipment, assisting team, and ensuring compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• Certification preferred but not required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical tech program or equivalent training.
• Must be certified to perform CPR.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment for procedures.
• Set up operating room with instruments, sterile drapes and solutions.
• Tend to patient during pre-operation procedures and follow hospital regulations.
• Prepare patient skin and assist in positioning for surgery.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and assist with gowns and gloves.
• Assist with specimens and operate sterilizers, lights and suction machines.
