Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for St. Francis Downtown. The role supports the operative team by preparing sterile instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and assisting with pre-/post-procedure cleaning in a fast-paced OR environment.

The position requires an Associate Degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, CST/NBSTA/NCCT certification, and BLS preference. Virginia CST registration is required if residing in VA, with a strong preference for

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
• Must be certified by CST/NBSTA/TS-C or NCCT (TS-C not accepted for Surgical Tech jobs in Cincinnati)
• Registered CST with the Virginia Board of Medicine (required if currently reside in Virginia)
• One year of perioperative, operating room, or related military surgical technology experience (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt of special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
