Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for St. Francis Downtown to facilitate operative procedures by preparing sterile instruments, supplies and equipment with the surgical team.

Requirements include an Associate degree, vocational certification, or military certificate in Surgical Technology; BLS preferred. The position offers competitive pay, benefits and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology is required.
• BLS – American Heart Association preferred.
• Certification options CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT may apply per licensure rules.
• Experience in perioperative or related setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Performs skin prep and clipping as indicated by the procedure.
