Job summary

JumpStart Games, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in perioperative care and maintain sterile technique. You will prepare the operating room, pass instruments, and support the surgeon during procedures.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, specimen handling, and keeping the environment compliant with center protocols. Requires HS diploma or GED, OR tech training, and certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Formal training as an O.R. Technician.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities and assist with positioning to meet patient and surgeon needs.
• Prepare the surgical suite: clean, stock, and replace supplies.
• Open sterile supplies using aseptic technique and maintain the sterile field.
• Ensure compliance with Surgery Center protocols for supplies and equipment.
• Check equipment for safe operation and document problems.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, sutures, blades, electrosurgical equipment, suction and solutions.
• Identify specimens and assist with transport of patients.
• Update surgeon preference cards and prepare instruments for decontamination and turnover.
• Hand instruments to surgeon, pass retractors, cut sutures, and perform other tasks as directed.
• Work as a team member under stress, applying cost containment principles.
