Job summary

AtlantiCare seeks an Operating Room Technician for Labor and Delivery on a per diem basis. The role supports the surgical team, maintains sterile technique, and assists with patient positioning while ensuring patient privacy and high-quality care.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, sponge/needle counts, and collaboration with the perioperative team to meet departmental objectives. Per diem scheduling and on-call expectations apply.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent with ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Certification as a surgical technologist or recognized credential; grandfathering rules apply for certain dates.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during procedures as scrub/instrument person.
• Pass sponges, instruments, and sutures; maintain counts.
• Assist with patient positioning and room setup; ensure confidentiality and quality of care.
