AtlantiCare is seeking an Operating Room Technician for Labor and Delivery on a full-time day shift. The role supports the surgical team, handles instrument passage, sponge and needle counts, and patient positioning under RN supervision.

The position requires a surgical technologist credential or equivalent, with a high school diploma and proficiency in English. Strong adherence to safety and confidentiality is essential.

Formación

• High School degree; ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Nationally or regionally accredited program for surgical technologist and holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist credential or equivalent.
• Evidence of practicing surgical technology in a health care facility on specified historical dates or grandfathered if applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the surgical team during operating procedures under RN direction.
• Serve as scrub/instrument person during surgery; arrange sterile set up and pass instruments, sponges, sutures.
• Maintain accurate sponge, needle and instrument counts; aid in moving/positioning patient as directed by the RN.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism; contribute to performance improvement.
• Work as part of the care team to meet patient needs and departmental objectives.
