Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Surgical Technician to join their Labor and Delivery department. The role involves providing support during surgical procedures through patient care, including prepping and sterilizing rooms, assisting surgeons, and maintaining sterile conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, certification in surgical technology, and strong interpersonal skills. A per diem schedule offers flexibility with competitive compensation ranging from $33.50 to $41.64 per hour.
As a member of the surgical team, the surgical technician provides patient care during surgical procedures by providing an aseptic and safe environment. Duties include prepping and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments, and providing assistance to surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff during surgery. Uses technical and aseptic techniques to ensure methodology is in compliance with established sterile standards and procedures.

Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Must also be a graduate of an accredited/approved program in surgical technology (or completed an Armed Forces medic or corpsmen program).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Surgical Technician certification required.
Previous surgical tech experience preferred.
Compensation Range: $33.50 - $41.64 per hour.
