Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking an Operating Room Technician for Labor and Delivery on a part-time night schedule in New Jersey. The technician assists the surgical team, prepares sterile setups, passes instruments, and helps position patients under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent, ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Successful completion of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for surgical technologist and holds a certified surgical technologist credential or equivalent.
• BLS/HCP certification required upon hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during procedures under the direction of the RN.
• Scrub/instrument responsibilities including handling sponges, instruments and sutures.
• Move and position patient as directed by the RN; maintain sponge, needle and instrument counts.
