Job summary

Virtua Health is hiring for a Per Diem, part-time Patient Care Technician to support perioperative services on-site in New Jersey. The role includes on-call duties and 1st shift responsibilities, with an hourly rate in the posted range.

The position requires a high school diploma and BLS certification. Responsibilities include patient and equipment transport, OR turnover, and basic care tasks, with opportunities to contribute to safe, efficient perioperative care and assist the Product

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience/skills preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes OR suite cleaning for room turnover and cleans common areas within the perioperative area using prescribed procedures.
• Assists with transferring, transporting and positioning of patients while using correct body mechanics.
• Assists in OR set-up for each case, moving essential equipment into the room and cleaning/putting away equipment after cases.
• Handles and transports specimens according to policies and procedures.
• Stocks shelves, linen, and fluids according to par levels; assists in putting away warehouse supplies daily.
