Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Scheduling Manager to coordinate Horizon Surgical Manager and Pathways Scheduling across perioperative and outpatient areas. You will supervise schedulers and lead system integration efforts with Materials Management, CIS, and Patient Financial Services.

The role emphasizes clinical protocol knowledge, training, and process improvement to maintain efficiency and high patient satisfaction in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree – required.
• Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Must have current Florida Nursing License.
• ACLS, BLS for Healthcare providers preferred.
• Professional certification from a national organization preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Minimum of two years professional nursing practice experience required. Primary management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee Horizon Surgical Manager and Pathways Scheduling Systems.
• Supervise two Perioperative Services areas and lead schedulers across five outpatient departments.
• Train end-users, troubleshoot, and generate custom reports.
• Coordinate with Materials Management for surgical supply inventory and with Clinical Information Systems and Patient Financial Services for patient charging.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare Local Medical Review Policies and maintain patient satisfaction.
