Responsibilities

• Answers telephone in a respectful manner, accepts OR bookings and accurately transcribes them in to the EPIC system to schedule perioperative procedures.
• Notifies surgeon’s office of missing documentation.
• Coordinates surgical procedures requiring x-ray examinations including fluoroscopy and consults with OR Manager regarding conflicts.
• Adjusts the OR schedule as needed and notifies the appropriate departments of cancellations or changes in the OR schedule.
• Performs clerical functions within the department including faxing vendors and filing data in the appropriate location.
• Handles multiple projects and responsibilities.
• Maintains a professional, customer friendly work environment with good communication skills.
• Creates innovative responses to problem solving and acts in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
