Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) seeks a Registered Nurse, First Assist (RNFA) to join the Surgery team at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon. The RNFA will support the surgeon intra-operatively and handle peri-operative nursing.

Schedule is part-time, 30 hours per week, days. Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus; RN licensure and BLS required; CNOR or RNFA program completion with CNOR target within 6 months for certain hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• RN license in state of practice (multistate license acceptable under the NLC).
• CNOR certification required for hires after Apr 24, 2024 OR RNFA program completion with plan to obtain CNOR within 6 months of eligibility.
• First Assist experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon intra-operatively to support safe operations.
• Perform peri-operative nursing assessments and post-operative evaluation.
• Coordinate with surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
