Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a collaborative surgical team. This full-time role supports surgeons with perioperative care before, during, and after procedures in a fast-paced OR environment.

We offer a new sign-on bonus of $10,000. Candidates must have perioperative nursing experience, CNOR and RN-First Assistant certifications within one year of hire, and BLS/ACLS within the first year.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a nursing program from an accredited school.
• Active RN licensure in the practicing state.
• Minimum perioperative nursing experience is required.
• CNOR and RN-First Assistant certification must be obtained within one year of hire/transfer.
• BLS/ACLS certification must be completed within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) in the operating room.
• Provide perioperative patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high standards of care and patient safety.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality while following Mercy Service Standards.

Education

Graduate of accredited nursing program

Active RN licensure in state of practice

Minimum perioperative nursing experience

CNOR and RN-First Assistant certification within one year of hire/transfer

BLS/ACLS certification within first year
