BJC HealthCare's Memorial Belleville - Operating Room in O’Fallon, IL, seeks a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join the perioperative team on a staff, ongoing basis.

The RNFA delivers intraoperative care as the first assistant to surgeons, performs focused preoperative assessments, and collaborates to plan and execute care. CNOR or Certified First Assistant credentials are preferred; sign-on bonus and BSN differential are noted benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in nursing.
• Experience: 2-5 years of nursing experience.
• Licenses & Certifications: RN license.

Responsibilities

• Delivers intraoperative patient care as the first assistant to the surgeon(s).
• Pre-operatively performs a focused nursing assessment related to planned procedure.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Identifies and communicates desired patient outcomes throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Functions as a member of the surgical team and contributes to department efficiency.
• Monitors patient response and adjusts the plan of care as needed.
