Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Mission Regional Medical Center is seeking a qualified Staff RN for perioperative care on days. The role collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR staff to deliver safe, coordinated patient care in a busy surgical unit.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CNOR/BSN considerations. A 10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates, with details discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services.
• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
