Job summary

Garden City Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Staff RN for the operating room to deliver direct and indirect perioperative patient care. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR staff to ensure safe, efficient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a current state RN license, BLS and ACLS, at least one year perioperative experience; CNOR and BSN preferred. This is a full-time, day shift position with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
• CNOR Certification (AORN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor.
• The Registered Nurse delivers direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process.
• Coordinates care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs OR Technician and other personnel.
• Maintains standards of care and participates in Performance Improvement activities.
