Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Surgery department in Chicago, IL. The role involves perioperative patient care, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and ensuring smooth operating room workflows.

The candidate must hold a valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificates, with at least one year of perioperative experience; CNOR is preferred and BSN is a plus. Sign-on bonus offered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• CNOR Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services.
• The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization.
