Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago seeks an experienced Staff Registered Nurse in the OR to deliver perioperative patient care. You will work under the OR Charge Nurse and be part of a team coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

The role requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and perioperative experience. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 offered for qualified candidates; full-time days.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate current on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate current within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certificate current within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting using nursing process.
• Coordinate care with surgeon and anesthesiologist and direct OR staff.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and unit policies.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
• Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
