Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to lead and deliver perioperative care in our ambulatory surgery setting. The role involves direct and indirect nursing duties, collaboration with surgeons, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

The position is 32 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and onsite Free parking. Requires MA RN license, BLS, ACLS (within 1 year), and patient-centered care focus.

Qualifications

• Completion of two years of nursing education for RN licensure.
• Active MA nursing license without sanctions.
• Current BLS; ACLS within 12 months of hire.
• PALS preferred or to be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care and leadership in ambulatory surgery.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team.
• Utilize nursing process to plan and coordinate care.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort and positive perioperative experience.
• Document care actions per policy; communicate with care team.
• Support staffing needs and cross-train as needed.
• Participate in meetings and quality improvement activities.
