Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Operating Room, supporting perioperative care across neonates to adults. This full-time role features 8- to 10-hour shifts, on-call requirements, and a structured orientation to ensure patient safety and teamwork.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to deliver high-quality care, coordinate patient flow, comply with regulations, and participate in

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting.
• Coordinate care with surgeon and anesthesiologist; guide OR Tech and staff.
• Ensure adherence to regulations, standards, and hospital policies; participate in Performance Improvement.
• Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
