Job summary

UVA Community Health in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse OSC for PRN Day shifts. The role involves leading perioperative nursing care, coordinating with physicians and the care team, and delivering patient-centered care across preadmission, intraoperative, and PACU stages.

The RN must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure in the state. One year of relevant experience is preferred; CPI certification may be required for specific areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• RN licensure in applicable state required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• CPI certification within three months of hire for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and CSSO.
• Ability to perform basic nursing skills and multitask quickly.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team by establishing an authentic relationship with the patient and support system.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Perform circulating nurse, preadmission, and PACU duties as needed per perioperative protocols.
• Provide patient education and ensure continuity of care across perioperative stages.
