Job summary

UVA Community Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room at the Culpeper/NoVA area. The role leads the healthcare team, coordinates care with physicians, and provides medication administration with documentation in accordance with policies.

OR experience is required, and CPI certification timing varies by department. The position is full-time, day shift (4 x 10-hour shifts, M-F with rotating call to include weekends).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
• CPI certification within three months of hire required for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and CSSO.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized care plan.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to promote optimal health outcomes.
• Administer medications and provide nursing care while documenting according to policies.
• Utilize best evidence and compassion to support patient and family in navigating care.
