Job summary

The Registered Nurse OSC at UVA Health Culpeper is a key team member providing personalized patient care and leading perioperative and recovery activities. You will collaborate with physicians and perioperative staff to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes.

You will perform circulating nurse duties, preadmission coordination, PACU responsibilities, and discharge planning while upholding nursing standards and patient rights.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state.
• CPI certification within three months of hire for select areas.
• Ability to perform basic nursing skills and multitask.
• Strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their support system.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care with physicians and team members.
• Perform circulating nurse duties and prepare operating room according to procedures.
• Coordinate patient care activities across preadmission, PACU, and postoperative phases.
• Document records and ensure aseptic technique and patient safety.
