The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia (UVA Health) seeks a Pre/Post PACU RN to support its expanding outpatient surgical network in Charlottesville, reporting to a highly collaborative perioperative team. You will manage pre-operative readiness and post-anesthesia recovery across sites, prioritizing safety, throughput and excellent patient experiences.

In this role you will work without night, weekend, or holiday shifts, with a minimal call requirement and incentive pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
• BSN to be completed within 5 years of hire.
• ACLS/BLS certification as applicable.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for outpatient procedures from pre-operative to post-anesthesia recovery.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and patient education.
• Monitor Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery and ensure safe discharge planning.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain focus on patient experience, quality, and safety metrics.
