Job summary

UVA Community Health in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for Surgical Services. This PRN, days position requires availability for at least 3 shifts per 6-week period and 1 weekend call shift from 7am to 7am per 6 weeks.

The RN will lead the care team, coordinate with physicians, and manage a patient-centered plan of care. The ideal candidate will have a BSN or equivalent, current RN licensure in Virginia, and 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
• CPI certification within three months of hire for Behavioral Health, ED, and CSSO.

Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare team by establishing an authentic relationship with the patient and support system.
• Collaborate with physicians and team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Administer medications using the five rights and document appropriately.
• Utilize best evidence and compassion to support the patient’s health journey.
• Perform basic nursing skills and multitask to meet changing acuity levels.
