Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
• Ability to perform basic nursing skills and multitask in a busy perioperative setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team and establish a personalized relationship with the patient and support system.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Assist with circulating, prep, and PACU nursing duties per operating room procedures.
• Coordinate with anesthesiology and surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Provide preoperative instructions and postoperative care planning and education.
