Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PreOp and PACU to promote safety and quality in perioperative care. You will assess patients before and after surgery, interpret monitors, and develop individualized care plans to support recovery and discharge readiness.

You’ll collaborate with the surgical team, apply pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic strategies, and document care with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings; BLS/BCLS within 90 days; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors; describe pathophysiology of diseases.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it.
• Provide hand-off reports and educate patients and families.
• Perform all duties to ensure patient safety, comfort and recovery from anesthesia.
