Job summary

SCA Health in Annapolis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp/PACU to support perioperative care. The role emphasizes accurate patient assessment, safety during recovery, and communication across the care team.

The successful candidate will bring an accredited nursing education, current US licensure, and timely BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as applicable. This full-time position is paid at USD 38.00–42.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• Successful completion of BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS as applicable within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Manage recovery from anesthesia and ensure patient safety.
• Provide hand-off reports and education to patients and staff.
• Perform nursing duties and maintain privacy and dignity.
