Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing.
• BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS if pediatric care included within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess the patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret information from monitors.
• Describe pathophysiology of diseases and anesthesia techniques.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide recovery management for various anesthesia modalities.
• Educate patients and families as appropriate.
• Provide accurate hand-off reports to teammates.
• Document care completely and preserve patient privacy.
