Job summary

DISC Surgery Center in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a per diem PreOp/PACU RN to join our outpatient teams. The role involves caring for post-operative patients, monitoring vitals and airway status, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates hold a valid RN license, BCLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days), and have 2 years of acute care, PACU, or ICU experience. Compensation ranges from $55-65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• BCLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• 2 years’ experience in acute care, PACU or ICU.

Responsibilities

• Monitor post-operative patients' conditions and manage their pain levels.
• Assess patients' vital signs and airways post-surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
