Qualifications

• Broad understanding of medications to hold prior to surgery
• Ability to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Experience in preadmission testing and preparation clinic
• Experience in preoperative admissions preferred; critical care/PACU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients are clear for surgery; documentation and clearance responsibilities
• Assist with airway assessment, discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, and phlebotomy
• Maintain knowledge of isolation precautions and interpretation of lab values
• Administer procedural sedation and monitor patient status during procedures
• Obtain 12-lead ECG/ECG and secure operative consent
