Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN - Perioperative for a 13-week assignment in the San Francisco area. The role focuses on preoperative evaluation and ensuring patients are cleared for surgery, with flexibility to float to other units as needed.

Required is an RN license with a minimum of 2 years in preadmission testing and preparation clinic experience; certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are expected as part of ongoing perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients are clear for surgery; documentation and clearance responsibilities
• Assist with airway assessment, discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, and phlebotomy
• Maintain knowledge of isolation precautions and interpretation of lab values
• Administer procedural sedation and monitor patient status during procedures
• Obtain 12-lead ECG/ECG and secure operative consent

Description:Start times may fluctuate based on need.Candidates should have experience ensuring patients are clear for surgery.Experience with preoperative admissions is preferred.Candidates must be willing and able to float to different roles.Experience in preoperative/PACU settings and critical care is preferred.Demonstrated skills in airway assessment, discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, and phlebotomy are required.Understanding of isolation precautions and interpretation of lab values is necessary.Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring is essential.Nurses should be familiar with 12 lead EKG/ECG and obtaining operative consent.Experience in phase II recovery and pain assessment and management is expected.Knowledge of malignant hyperthermia protocols is preferred.
