Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks a Perianesthesia Nurse to apply the nursing process in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care in PACU and related perioperative areas.

The role requires recent PACU experience in outpatient/ambulatory settings, CA RN licensure, and weekend on-call flexibility; BSN preferred; ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications preferred or required per unit policy.

Qualifications

• Recent 2 years within the last 5 years of adult PACU experience in an outpatient ambulatory surgery center.
• One year of adult Critical Care experience as an RN.
• Flexibility to orient to all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Weeknight and/or weekend on-call commitment.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures.
• Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
