Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks an RN to provide professional nursing care in the PreOp area, with PACU coverage as needed.

Collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team, conducts nursing assessments, aids exams and treatments, educates patients and maintains medical records.

Requirements include Texas RN license (or temporary/compact), BLS certification, BSN preferred; hours 0600–1630 with rotating on-call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Texas RN license or temporary/compact license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• BSN preferred; RN I–IV experience levels acknowledged.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per nursing standards.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Develops discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvements.
• Ensures compassionate, personalized patient experiences.
• Adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and regulatory standards.
• Supports staff development and serves as preceptor when needed.
