Job summary

Medical Center Endoscopy - Houston is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Op/PACU to provide GI-specific patient care in a full-time, on-site role in Houston, TX. The position emphasizes high-quality clinical care, collaboration, and patient-family communication within a busy surgical setting.

The ideal candidate will have an Accredited Nursing program degree, an active RN license, CPR and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of clinical experience in perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN License.
• CPR required.
• ACLS required.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in pre-operative and post-operative areas.
• Delegate and supervise ancillary personnel in planning and evaluating patient care.
• Prepare patient care areas based on procedures and needs.
• Communicate changes in status to physicians, family, and staff.
• Complete pre-operative interviews and post-anesthesia records; ensure discharge criteria.
